Hi,
From some time on, my desktop wallpaper goes away when I lock my windows session and BOIC launches as screeensaver.
When I get back, my wallpeper is a solid grey.
I've been working on this config for years and never seen this.
BOINC v 6.12.34 x86 running einstein@home
Graphic are integrated: Intel Graphics Media Accelerator Driver v 6.14.10.4964
DirectX 9.0
Use extended display across 2 monitors

I've never heard of anything like this, very strange indeed.
Note that you don't have to have the BOINC screensaver active in order to contribute to the science projects, the screen savers are just eye-candy, the real science is done in separate processes in the background. So you could try to deactivate the BOINC screensaver in the windows settings and select a different one or the 'black screen' one.
