When E@H screensaver running it blinks on and off constantly. Truely a pain. Any ideas on how to fix it? THX
Debbie,
Since you haven't finished your first WU yet, we can't tell much about what might be happening. However, there is an issue you should be aware of regarding the Einstein screensaver. That is, if you use Einstein 4.79 (the "official" Einstein WINDOWS application) with BOINC 4.45 or later, there is a "graphics bug" that could cause your work units to terminate early with "Client error" messages. (There are a bunch of threads around here that discuss the "graphics bug".)
If the "bug" turns out to be your problem, you should change to the Beta application (see the link under More Information on the E@H home page). Don't worry, the Beta application is very stable (I switched to it back in early August when the "graphics bug" struck my computer and it works great).
Another possible cause of your problem is an out of date graphics card (Display Adapter) driver. If you do a "Windows Update" and there is a new driver available for your hardware, it should tell you how to download it.
