    Can anyone explain me what is a data mirror and what is its function.

    Is the new version for windows, version 4.25, is faster the old one, version 4.19. If so, I will download the newest verion.

      A data mirror allows organisations to store copies of files in another geographic location. If the servers in one location are overloaded and dropping connections, users can go to another server closer to home.

      BOINC version 4.25 fixes a benchmark bug where the client appears to be faster than it really is. This was due to the compiler realising that the benchmark code doesn't do anything useful, optimised it out of existence, and guesses the result.
