I have a custom built i7-2600K with a GTX 460 and GTX 570 installed, running Ubuntu 11.04 64-bit, kernel 2.6.38-13-generic, 8 GB memory, and Power Supply is large/fine.

Here's my app_info.xml.

I don't know why I'm not getting any CUDA workunits.

I don't see any errors in the eror log when the BOINC mgr comes up.
It's driving me crazy becuase I just don't know why I'm not getting any.

Any help would be appreciated as to understanding why I don't get any CUDA work. I am getting other apps work though.

Custom Linux app_info.xml mostly works, but not CUDA work - why?

Your app_info has einsteinbinary_BRP3 for the Cuda app's and entries, it should be einsteinbinary_BRP4,

IT WORKS! Thanks so

IT WORKS! Thanks so much!
Would be nice I guess if there was some sort of message that there was no work for that app or something, or a way to match them up.
I just removed (at the top) the BRP3 app, and have 2 BRP4s now, one CUDA, one not.

Thanks again!
Got lucky and didn't even loose any work already on-going...

OK - So the app_info.xml

OK - So the app_info.xml seems to work now, but every CUDA app I get started fails with computation error.
Exit status of 127 (0x7f) almost immediately as is starts.
I have no idea what's causing it...

Note that I removed the "duplicate" einsteinbinary_BRP4 app_version (one was for CUDA, one for SSE - I removed the SSE).
Is it becuase I have 1 GTX 460 and one GTX 570? When no app_info.xml that combo together seems to work ok.

So here's what I have now.

Just do an Advanced Search

Just do an Advanced Search for 'Linux app_info' over the last year and you'll find a few already posted Linux app_info's, you probably have only got the following wrong:

libcudart32_32_16.so
libcudart.so.3

libcufft32_32_16.so
libcufft.so.3

Here is my Linux app_info

Here is my Linux app_info file that I posted somewhere a while back. I updated today for the latest hsgamma app. This app_info file is for running BRP4 on the GPU only and not both the GPU and CPU. Although you could add a section for running BRP4 on the CPU as well.
