As credit systems go and how a large Chunk is left in my P.C. and each 10 hour w/u is credited.Less than 5 Points an hour is just Bad.Nothing wrong with my P.C. assides fron a Linux O.S.Turn in a 10 Hour Unit daily and am failing on the Boards.?Why does a Linux Client receive less than lets say a Windows Client.?

Credit system and Einstein

Mind you, I don't use Linux.

However, for what Ive gathered reading the boards here and at other projects, it has to do with the way benchmarks are calculated. I think the standard version of BOINC underestimates the benchmark numbers, and thus (because credit is partially based on those numbers) your credit is lower.

You can bump up your benchmark numbers be installing an ehanced BOINC client. However, someone else will have to point you in the correct direction for that.

Good luck crunching :)

Doug, I suggest that you

Doug,

I suggest that you have a look on this BoincSynergy thread as a start. You are a team member there, right? Go from there to search more of their forums, you'll probably find all you want to know, and more.

If you look, you are gaining

If you look, you are gaining a lot more credit than you are asking for. IMHO I do not think that a bad thing.

Quote:
claimed credit granted credit
42.55 47.04
42.40 48.14
42.39 57.60
42.26 74.47
42.10 57.10
42.16 75.62
42.14 58.45

As you can see by your own example you are asking approximatly 42-42.5 and you get anywhere from 47-75+

So, your machine is running correctly, because you asked is close to the same all the time. Other machines are claiming more than you (in some cases a lot more), and you reap the benefits.
