Hi,
using powertop on my ubuntu machine, I've noticed "einstein_S6Buck" (einstein_S6Bucket_1.01_i686-pc-linux-gnu__SSE2) has quite an impact on battery performance. Computation is set to go to suspended mode after disconnecting from the power supply, so I'd expect BOINC to calm down and minimize power usage. However, einstein_S6Buck still generates 20 to 70 wakeups per second, being accountable for up to 20% of total CPU wakeups in very low load scenarios. This happens for both suspending modes (stay in RAM/unload) and also on the manual interruption of all BOINC activities...?

CPU wakeups in suspended mode
)
Does BOINC recognise the battery mode (see Messages tab)?
And if so, are all tasks really suspended? Check with windows tasks manager/ top.
