Hi there,
I'm using BOINC client 5.8.16 together with einstein@home.
Everything worked fine untill I changed my account settings so that BOINC only starts working after the computer was idle for 3 minutes.
BOINC then starts computing after 3 minutes but the CPU time is very irregular. CPU usage goes up to 100% and then to 0% and then back to 100% in the next second.

I took a screenshot of the usage history in the task manager:

Im running on Windows XP prof SP2. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

Han, did you change your CPU usage from 100% when you changed the setting to only do work when idle? If you changed it to 50% then BOINC will process for 1 second, go idle for 1 second, process for 1 second and so on. If you select 10% it will process for 1 second then goes idle for 9 seconds. Other percentages work in a similar manner.
Dave.
Edited for my bad English!
