I'm currently a student in college (undergraduate) taking courses in Geology. After the spring semester I have one class left which I plan on taking during the summer. I'm going to try to find an internship for the fall so I can get some experience with the mining industry. Then in the spring of 2008 I plan on attending graduate school for Economic Geology. With a degree in that I plan on getting a job as an exploration geologist. Doing this I will be directing companies where to dig, drill or mine for the resources that we all use and need for everyday life. I will also have to prove if the find is worth the time and money to go after what my team and I have found. If gold prices remain high I will probably be looking for a job in the gold mining industry. I'm just happy to have found something that lets me do what I love, being outside, hiking and looking at rocks.
Currently I am a university student studying military history. Over the years I have worked as a landscaper (including some tree climbing), a intra-city delivery truck and most recently in a book store so I could feed my book collecting addiction....
Well, I escaped the rat race in the UK and now enjoying my third childhood at 43 in Budapest as a web designer, developer, NT/Linux system administrator, php/perl/asp programmer and computer graphics animator.
I designed intranets for Cap Gemini before the dotcom crash and now designing an intranet system for a biotechnology organisation here in Budapest. In addition, I manage a few webservers for clients around the world and write/perform music for fun.
I love solving impossible problems, and always open for new challenges...
I am a statistician for a government department. Much of my current work is now around stochastic modelling of HR flows using Operations Research methods. In (semi!) English, that just means that I use probability estimates in the models rather than assuming the personnel flows are the same each period.
On a more interesting/personal level, I am currently training to get my PADI SCUBA qualification. :)
I am currently employed as a machine operator for a small company that makes pallets,a vital component in todays world of trucking as every truck driver wants to be at the next pick up yesterday(or their boss does anyway lol :-)
