I think any new theory should include Einstein's GR, as this included Newton's theory for velocities much smaller than c. After all, all spacecraft flight plans are still based on newtonian dynamics.

Einstein wrong.....? Wrong sounds so harsh! At worst, hopefully things will turn out as more of being "incomplete"...we'll see!
Perhaps we can pull out some waves with Einstein@home and not have to wait 13 more years for LISA.
So basically what is being said is that LIGO could help prove Einstein's ideas, but isn't considered sensitive enough to disprove them if nothing is detected...but LISA would be.......no waves with LISA would mean something is amiss?
Hmm testing Einstein seems to just now be becoming feasible...kinda weird given that the ideas are approaching 100 years old!
Check out the Gravity Probe B Project which is also out to test Einstein.......science run is done, and the analysis has been going on for months.......preliminary results in April 2007, final results around December 2007 i think....
Pretty cool, been tracking this project for since the initial launch! Ready to read some results!!!!!

Hi Matt:
I agree, most theories are incomplete after undergoing peer review. That is science. I believe where the major effort should be persued is in tying the Macro (Einstein and Newton) and the Micro (Quantum) together. No Basic research goes to waste.

Since Gravity Probe B data processing seems to be a major endeavour maybe they might learn something from the BOINC approach to data processing.
