I have 1 computer running BOINC on Windows XP. However, it was somehow reported as linux, and now I have 2 unmergable computers. Any way to resolve this?
Windows cannot 'somehow be reported as Linux', without there having been a Linux on that system. So, are you sure you didn't run Ubuntu or Mint on that system, or that anyone else in your family or friendship circles with access to this computer did so? Or that you (test-)ran something from a USB stick, like Dotsch UX for instance? or some other BOINC-on-a-stick?
Merging the systems isn't possible. You can however delete the Linux hostID as soon as its task list is empty. Which it is now. Your account->List of your computers->Choose the Linux hostID->details->at the bottom there's a selection called "delete host", take it, confirm it.
If it managed to get any credits, these will stay on your account forever.
