Hello,
I just setup boinc on a new PC, running Linux (FC 17). All of my usual projects are working fine, except for Einstein, which refuses to suspend computation when instructed to do so by boincmgr.
Basically, if boincmgr tries to suspend computation, all of my projects obey, with the exception of Einstein. The boinc GUI says they are suspended, but "top" shows that all of the Einstein processes are happily crunching away, consuming CPU cycles.
Is there a fix for this issue? For now, I have aborted all of my Einstein work, and have set the project to "no new tasks".
This is on FC 17, kernel version 3.3.4-5.fc17.x86_64. Boinc 7.0.29.

Seems odd; you could always have a look at the Event log (Shift-Ctrl-E in boincmgr, or it's available from the menu bar) and see what it says when you try and suspend e@h.

It happens, with the GPU apps when they are suspended by BOINC due to some condition (like computer is in use or something like that).
If you suspend them manually it works as intended. This is an elusive bug that they though fixed several times but it keeps happening.
CPU tasks should behave as expected and become really suspended when they should...
