I am using BONIC manager 5.10.30 and I am having computation errors in Einstein after it does a cpu benchmark. Here is what I found in the message area

Computation Error after CPU Benchmarks

To me it looks like you're missing the Einstein application. Is it on your system? Check in BOINC\\projects\\einstein.phys.uwm.edu\\ if you have the file einstein_S5R3_4.26_windows_intelx86.exe and how many KB it is.

It could also be that your public key is corrupt. This key is stored in client_state.xml .. a project reset should fix that as it will delete all applications and download them again.

Could this be related to the

Could this be related to the fact that the 4.26 app has moved from beta to official app status recently? Do you still have a app_info.xml file?

Removing that and the app exe as well should solve the problem.

I looked but didn't find the app_info.xml file and I wasn't sure which app exe I should remove.........

That's a bit over the top.

What you can do, is this: Since you don't have work at this moment anyway, exit BOINC. Navigate to your BOINC directory and delete client_state.xml and client_state_prev.xml

Then restart BOINC. It should download just about everything again.
See if that fixes your problems with the public key.

If it doesn't, hold off on benchmarking for the moment. BOINC will do this automatically on a new install and then every 5 days. No need to benchmark if nothing changed.

Well I did the deleations but I am still getting the error so I am going to do a format and reload on the one machine. The other computer seems to be doing okay so far.... (knock on wood) :-)

What are you CPU temperatures on this machine before and during the benchmarks?

Also, I've heard that having the "leave applications in memory" setting in the global preferences can cause a similar error when running benchmarks. Try toggling that value.
