Client Errors (exit stat -185) after suspending 1 processor of 8?

On my 8 core mac pro I had one task stop progessing. I have seen this on my dual core machines before so it is no big deal. On my dual cores I usually suspend the project and then restart my computer to get the hung task going again. I tried that on my 8 core pro and as soon as I suspended the one stuck task (not the whole project) all eight of the pending, waiting to run, tasks in my ready to start queue immediately went to client error. My running tasks were not affected.

Restarting my pro got the stuck task running again.
The results that errored out before even starting all have this message.
