Client errors Boinc 6.6.36

You've got these problems:

Quote:

Could not resume from checkpoint (-2) (The environment is incorrect. (0xa) - exit code 10 (0xa))

Input file on command line ... doesn't agree with input file from checkpoint header. (The system cannot find the file specified. (0x2) - exit code 2 (0x2))

You may want to check your hard drive for errors. Something is 'eating' your checkpoint files and applications. Especially the "environment is incorrect" message points to a disk with broken sectors. I'd do a complete chkdsk ASAP, possibly followed by a defrag, cleanup and backup of all important files.

Thanks Jord, I'll do some disk cleaning and checking. I'm wondering if a game I tried playing yesterday while Boinc was in background might have caused this problem. The game requires alot of graphic power and since boinc does share my dual GPU's with other running programs this could be a first time problem. I was dissapointed when I lost 32 hours of work. 4 tasks at onetime times 8 hours.
Losing 4 arecibo projects just looks bad on my report card. I'll be shutting down Boinc when I run that particular game and maybe the next version of Boinc can spread the computer FLOP's a little better.

BOINC doesn't crunch, so it won't. You'll have to do these things yourself. Of course your GPUs are busy with CUDA when you go gaming and there cannot be two things doen by the GPUs at the same time. Please read my CUDA FAQ for a lot of eye-openers. And then just follow them. :-)
