hi,

how i can change the name of my computer?

atm its: localhost.localdomain

how i can change this?

edit: i use boinc for linux

Change Computer names

i changed the hostname in /etc/hosts and /etc/hostname
when i'm now typing hostname -f i get my new hostname but on my usersite i cant see the new hostname....

Have you restarted BOINC and updated the project/s since changing your hosts files?

The new hostname will eventually propagate back to the server (at the next scheduler contact) and you'll see it on the 'Your computers' web page.
