Hi there,

I have been trying, unsuccessfully, to update the project as I have 3 pieces of work to report. However, I keep getting the following messages...

Fetching Master File
Couldn't resolve host name [einstein.phys.uwm.edu]
Master File fetch failed

Is there a general problem with updating at the moment, or is there something worng with the settings on my PC? I have successfully updated work in the past.

I suspect there is something wrong with your PC.

Are you on dialup/broadband?
Did you configure BOINC to connect automatically?
Can you access www.google.com?
Suspecting you are running Windows, open a commandline and enter
"ipconfig /ALL"
and post the output here.

Hi there

I finally got to the root of the problem. I am connecting through my work's LAN today and the firewall settings were causing issues.
