Hi,
I am unable to access my Einstein@Home account at http://einstein.phys.uwm.edu/. I went in to update my email address using my old email/pass. I got a "No such account" message. I then tried several other email/pass possibilities with no luck. Finally, I entered my authenticator string from file account_lhcathome.cern.ch_lhcathome.xml and got the message "Login failed - There is no account with that authenticator." This is strange since the project is processing data on the computer.
Einstein@Home has been a project running in BOINC on one of my computers since 26 Jul 2008 with about 60,334 credits. Is it possible to link up my account again? I have an active account name (mrogers) and the computer ID (1523106) and the (unrecognized?) authenticator value which I can make available to the helpdesk by private message.
Can someone help me with this, please?
Finally, I have set up a new account with my new email address, but I see no way to link it with my existing "mrogers" account on Einstein@Home.
Regards,
Mike

Are you sure that you have copied the authenticator correctly? It's only the string between and . Please don't post it here!

That one has the authenticator for the LHC project, not the Einstein project. Use the authenticator line from the account_einstein.phys.uwm.edu.xml file.
Oops, didn't see that!

My problem is a bit different. Initially, it said wrong password. Had email sent and used the one-day-access url (from another machine). Changed password and some Prefs. Still unable to log in on the Einstein box.
Used the special url again and set another password. Still no joy.
The 'incorrect password' message no longer comes up. Instead, the cursor jumps up to 'email address' block when the login button is clicked.
Grasping at straws: Tried changing the email address, in case it had become corrupted. Received a message that no change was made because it's the same email address.
Confusing. Haven't tried the authenticator route yet, as I hope to resolve this route.
The account works well enough to run and credit Tasks.
Assistance appreciated. TIA.
