Hi!
i am running version BOINC 4.19 für Linux.
I checked client_state.xml once a while, during the last 24 hours, and saw that one run completed, and after that a new one was about 30 percent complete.
But nothing was uploaded :(
So i stopped BOINC - and tried to restart it.
Because of an existing lockfile this was not possible. So i removed the lockfile and started.
After this, my complete work seems to be erased! (client_state.xml shows a fraction_done of 0.004)
Here's the output of BOINC:
./boinc_4.19_AthlonXP-pc-linux-gnu

Maybe you should try
./boinc_4.19_AthlonXP-pc-linux-gnu -return_results_immediately

The stupid thing is: Before running boinc_4.19_AthlonXP-pc-linux-gnu again you have to delete this "lockfile" - even if you only want to do some "maintenance" (command line parameter stuff).
Two questions:
1) Why does BOINC check for this lockfile even if started in command-line/maintenance mode?
2) Why does BOINC not trap SIGINT (Cntrl-C) - and make a controlled shutdown (remove this "lockfile"!) ?
Hm, actually it should remove

Hm, actually it should remove the lockfile. We worked hard to fix this on the App side, pitty that it doesn't work (always) on the client side yet. I've never seen this myself yet, though, so it might be limited to certain versions of Linux. Which one (Distri, kernel, filesystem) are you running?
