It was a real pleasure to meet Annie for lunch yesterday, and as you would expect a little token was presented to mark the particular day of the year. Annie still needs a stick to help her walk but is ably mobile which was good to see. What was even better to see was that she is still the same old Annie with the irreverent sense of humour, and a keen observer of all things Seti & Boinc wise :-) Don't let your guard down!
Yes she did need cheering up, and if in some small way I achieved that I am a very happy bunny. Her full recovery has some way to go yet, but I am very happy that her particular OT nurse is covering all aspects very well indeed.
Ok I'm off on shed patrol - don't ask ......
Waiting for Godot & salvation :-)
Why do doctors have to practice?
You'd think they'd have got it right by now

Yes :) We had a lovely time :) though poor Chris had to slow-motion himself about the place - except when I was parked when he could return to normal speed of course :) Yes. *look round thread* I'm VERY slow people. In fact - since Christmas - my fastest speed has been in a downward direction. Yes. There was one which was very fast and involved a foot in a catfood bowl - but other than that - slow.
How are you lot? :)
*peer down thread* I see TL is on lunch... possibly :) Hi Mikey :) Hi Magic :) aaah yes... phones... *lower chin to chest* ... *give Bill l-o-o-o-n-g look out of top of eyes* anything for my lump hammer today? :)
Ooh... not going to do that look again - almost got a headache. Hi robl :)
I'm with Mike. Oh...
*watch Mike flee midst bellowing racket*
...suppose I should have made it clear I was being metaphoric.
What I meant was, I feel the same about mobile phones as Mike does :) When it comes to the more... exotic ones... I have been known to hide rather than interact with them. I won't change. No *uncompromising stare* I won't. No one can make me. No.
*look down at anniet's piles* I should have put one of those hazard signs down really... that octopus leg trimmer can be a little... well... unpredictable...
Off to find a dustpan and brush :)
Please wait here. Further instructions could pile up at any time. Thank you.

I guess that's another good reason I do NOT have a pet anymore! Although my dog did eat out of one of those raised dog bowl setups, seems it hurts their necks if bigger dogs have to bend over to the floor forever.
Well the foot in the catfood bowl did involve a lot of extraneous fluid if I recall, or maybe that was the next mishap. I'll let Annie remind me :-))
But as always she is very gracious. At the moment I am about 80% deaf in both ears because the hot water during a bath and hair wash, without so much as a by your leave I might add, decided to re-arrange the apparent build up of ear wax, of which I was previously unaware.

"Would you Adam & Eve it, first doctors appointment I can get is 3rd March, as it is considered non-urgent nor an emergency. Even then it will be ear drops for a week before an appointment with the Practice nurse for the usually rather barbaric syringing. Quite tempted to take along a big box of choccys and bribe her to be gentle with me.
So between the two of us we were a right pair of young fogeys. One hobbling and one going "Wot?" ..... Felt a bit like Darby & Joan actually :-))
Waiting for Godot & salvation :-)

Hey Anniet. Happy to see you are on the mend and decided to rejoin the fray.
