After work, I stopped by a phone repair shop. They said it would be $149.99 to replace my screen. I said I'd have to think about it. Probably won't cost me too much more to replace the whole phone with a new Note 4.
Before anyone asks if I had it insured, no. That would cost $60/year or $7/month. I'm pretty sure I've had it for 3 years, so that would be $180 yearly or $252 monthly. And I'd still have to pay a $100 deductible. I decided long ago that it wasn't worth it.
Today is not shaping up to be too good either. Running a bit late, I tossed my frozen breakfast sandwich in my bag instead of nuking and eating it at home. In so doing, I forgot to take my meds. I should be okay if I run home for them at lunchtime.

@David :(
My daughter had a gravity incident with her phone a little while ago. Think it wasn't too bad until the car that then ran over it ran over it. Then it was £125. That was just to replace the screen.
@Mike
Glad it wasn't your wife :) Just wondering if it was my daughter... she's a bit... spider phobic though it does seem a long way to drive to get your opinion on one... nutter magnet or not...
Speaking of Thursday - but in a different context to how tbret was speaking of Thursday (hi tbret :)) - glad it's not anymore...
One of my pusscats flung himself to his death yesterday. Yes :((( Faced with the choice of me and my walker hoving into view in the early hours of the morning, or cashing in his last seven lives, he fell off the top of a kitchen cupboard and landed on his head. Or as some might say, his other feet :( I'm only mentioning it because 12 hours later, physiotherapists decided I'm ready to attempt graduating to a walking stick. Of course - he may have deemed that to be just as scary and turned the falling cat theory on its head anyway but it's sort of taken the shine off the whole hobbling about leaning on things progression and turned it into a bit of a cosmic joke. He WAS a deep thinker, and by far the most intelligent of my furries... which is... perturbing when looked at in terms of his demise... :/
Oh well :) I'm going to try not to take it too personally...
Hi Bill :) NICE phone!

I am very much a pick-it-up, put-it-down and dial guy. All other functions are useless to me. If I can't remember some phone number then it wasn't that important.
So it's a Motorola what ??
Cheers, Mike.
