There is most definitely a bug in the above mentioned project. All "LineVeto" projects I have attempted have had dismal success and they are the only projects that fail to complete over 90% of the time.

I have brought this to the attention of the moderators before... The error code refers to a lack of space on my hard drive, but over 100 gigs of 800 free gigs are allocated to BOINC, so a lack of free space is factually impossible and my settings are not to blame. All other E@H and S@H projects run fine.

This message is intended for the programmers to use in their efforts to troubleshoot. I will not be returning to this message, so comments are mute.

If programmers want to get further information, you may contact me personally.

BUG in Gravitational Wave S6 LineVeto search v1.13 (SSE2)

The error message is misleading, the error certainly has nothing to do with disk space.

I'm still somewhat puzzled on what exactly causes this error, I have never noticed it before.

On all other (~6) machines that this error occurred on in the last weeks this error was transient.

Did you try to reset the Einstein@Home project?

It may be a message

It may be a message pertaining the virtual memory. That when the application starts and it is starting to load into memory and virtual memory, that it finds the constraints too overwhelming. In none of the threads that the original poster posted in has he said anything about the "Swap space: use at most X% of total" setting.

Of course, if his other settings are still true:

Quote:

Boinc disk settings are:
Use at most = 25 Gig
Leave at least 100 Gig
Use at most 25%

Disk size is 1.5 Tera
Disk available 867 Gig

Then it can be the "Use at most 25% of total disk space" setting, as 25% of 1.5TB = 384GB. If there's only 867GB still available on the disk, then this means that it's way past the maximum of 25% of the total disk usage (1532-384=1148GB).
