    I see that a new recommended BOINC version is available (5.4.9). I was wondering if this version works with Windows Server 2003. The version details doesn't say.

      It should. They did use Win. Server 2003 in tests of 5.4.9 and I don't recall anything in particular against that platform in the alpha BOINC emails.
