    I am using boinc 7.2.42 and it works. The current version is 7.4.36. A while back there was a posting that warned about upgrading but I can't find where that was and I don't remember what version they were talking about. Should I be upgrading now? Thanks

      I'm running the 7.4.36 x64 version on Win 7 x64 (without VirtualBox, although I have it installed) and it's working fine for me. There's always things that could be better but it's nothing disastrous.
      So it's up to you if you want to upgrade, just choose a recommended version and not a beta version and you should be fine.

        7.4.36 behaves pretty well. And Einstein in general is not very picky about BOINC versions, so II agree with Holmis: "recommended" versions are most probably fine, whereas betas are always for the adventurous.
