There will probably be little visible change.
The BOINC software will continue to work.
The translation system, Alpha testing project, BOINC web site,message boards, and email lists will continue to operate.
However, any new development and major bug fixes to BOINC will need to be done by volunteer programmers.
I'm confident that the BOINC community will meet the challenge.

Important: just to avoid any confusion (which could already be witnessed elsewhere): the statement above concerns BOINC, not the projects that use BOINC for their scientific goals.
So, while we as Einstein@Home project do use BOINC as a technical means we're neither part of the BOINC project itself, nor do we directly depend on its funding. We are contributing to and supporting BOINC in various ways though. We'll continue to do so in the future.
tl;dr: for you as volunteers supporting Einstein@Home nothing is going to change for the time being.

Changing BOINC from "fuded" to "community based" seems to be accompanied by some commotion ... Is BOINC obsolete ? What is the reason for ending up funding by U.S. National Science Foundation ? I do not expect answers to here, I have another question: Are there practicable alternatives to BOINC ?

BOINC is neither obsolete, nor are there suitable alternatives (that at least I'm aware of).
As you might have read, the BOINC project sent a new proposal to the NSF and it has reason to believe that the new proposal has better chances of being accepted - time will tell. Keep in mind that even NASA funding has seen massive cuts so that's nothing unusual these days...

The BOINC core technology

The BOINC core technology requires little maintenance to simply continue to work. The addition of new technologies like new coprocessor vendors and types or new APIs is probably the most difficult.
