I just downloaded the latest version, 5.10.45, hoping it would solve the screensaver error message:
BOINC screensaver is running, but cannot display graphics in test mode
It didn't work. I have checked the screensaver settings on my iMAC repeatedly, they appear to be correct, but it just won't work.
I haven't seen the screensaver in weeks and I miss it. Does anyone have any suggestions?

That message should appear when you press the Test button in the screensaver preferences dialog. Are you seeing it when the System Preferences application is closed and the screensaver appears due to the system being idle for the length of time time you have set up, or due to your moving the mouse to the HOT corner you have set up.
In other words, you should set these items up in the System Preferences screensaver panel and then close the System Preferences. Is that what you are doing?

Yes, the message, "BOINC screensaver is running, but cannot display graphics in test mode,"
appears when I am in System Preferences and click on Test, AND when I have exited System Preferences and the screensaver comes up on the screen. Puzzling...
