Hi,
I downloaded and saved BOINC on my desktop.I scanned it with norton A/V and then installed it. Also downloaded work unit. My problem is every time I switch on my laptop, I get a message (may be from windows defender) saying some start up prog is blocked. Then when laptop gets all started up I double click BOINC icon on screen and it again goes through all the installation steps.Isnt is enough I installed it once? Why this happens? Please help.

One more thing..everything seems to work fine ..in Tasks windows I see work is going on...but I dont understand about screensaver. Is it a must to have it? I keep laptop on power saver mode which switches off screen after some time.

So you saved the BOINC Installer on your desktop and keep clicking that one each time you want to start BOINC? Hmm, tough case. ;-)
How about you check Programs->BOINC and click the link to Boinc Manager in there?

Guess tried that once..but will try it again in morning as am going to leave it working overnight..will see what happens.Thank you.
