I wish Boinc would run on OSX 10.2. I read somewhere that it once did, but I cant find a version that works.
I might see what I can do with the source, and if anyone wants to help me, that would be awesome.

Boinc on OSX 10.2
)
It used to however it now uses features only available in OSX 10.3. Good luck getting it to compile and run, I hope you succeed. One problem however is that it may do no good to get BOINC running if the science apps will not.

Do you know what kind of things it requires in 10.3? I have ported a few things from 10.3 to 10.2 with eternal libraries, so i'll cross my fingers...

Jose,
A lot of Mac folk hang out at Team MacMM, someone there might know.
The Mac hosts I've seen show "Darwin" for the Operating System. What version does OS X 10.2 correspond to?

I believe it is Darwin 6.x while 10.3 is Darwin 7.x, which is the main problem.
But thanks, I'll check out that Link.

AFAIK the shared memory communication doesn't work as needed before MacOS 10.3. You may get the client to compile, but I wouldn't expect it to work properly in the end.
I also know that Charlie Fenton (who maintains the BOINC port for the Mac) spent quite some time on trying to make it run on 10.2 (and he is quite a skilled Mac programmer), but still in vain.
