I set up BOINC again after formatting my computer recently, and attached to einstein .. but its giving me problems.
When it contacts the server it gives me something aobut remote control not being allowed, and the loopback address being used.
At this point, it usually moves on to say "request_rechedule_cpus: op"
over and over again .. seemingly never getting around to do anything..

Please give the host ID number as we can't see the name of your hosts.

Does the user running BOINC have full access to the entire BOINC directory tree?

Seems that you try to attach to the server remotely via Boinc-Manager.
Than you have to add an additional file named 'remote_hosts.cfg' to the directory where you installed Boinc (on the remote host).
Inside the file you write the IP addresses - one per line - of the systems which are allowed to access the Boinc process remotely.
