BOINC Manager stops running and mysteriously disappears on my host 818, Q9400, Win7x64, GTX570, 7.0.64. This has happened several times in the past month and now most recently this am. The task bar shows all previously started monitoring tasks, ie HWMonitor, Precision X, Task Manager, but no sign of BOINC Manager and the system at this point is in a complete idle state. There is nothing unusual in the Win7 Event logs. When I click on BOINC Manager, it starts and all CPU & GPU work units resume as if nothing had happened.
I would like to enable BOINC debug logging but need some guidance as to the most useful logs to use for this problem.

First, you should check the various stdout* and stderr* files in the BOINC data directory.

I've checked through the logs

I've checked through the logs in pd\BOINC. stdoutdae.txt starts at 10:08 LT when BOINC Manager was restarted. stdoutdae.old's last entry is timestamped 04:49:06 LT with msg restarting task PA0077_00741_132_1 in slot 2. Flipping over to the log for Task 387019508 we see:

The task then completed & reported at 10:36:09. Update occurred at 16:36:18 UTC.
There is a 4hr gap in the Task log from ~06:04 - 10:08 and someone does know that the BOINC client doesn't exist.
I haven't been able to find any other clues at this point.
