New to boinc and have been getting this pop-up balloon whenever I hover the mouse over the system tray icon. The screensaver also says: bionc suspended. Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong. I have attached to seti and einstein. I have tried: reset project, changing my preferences in my account, updating, etc. I connect to the localhost. I am using zonealarm as a firewall and give boinc full access. I also get the "remomte control not allowed; using loopback address" in my messages. I aborted on some work due to this problem. I have been getting these messages for about 2 weeks. What am I doing wrong? Thanks for your help and sorry for any spelling errors. Be safe in the night and always.

Boinc manager - localhost: activity suspended
)
Did you suspend BOINC? When you rightclick on the BOINC icon in the system tray, is it set to Suspend? If it is, set it to Run based on preferences.
Remote control not allowed is an informational message. NOT an error message.
It just means that your computer cannot be remotely controlled by another computer. BOINC Manager can be used from one central computer to control a multitude of other computers on a network.
The link above points to the explanation in the BOINC Wikipedia.
Both the "run" and "network"
)
Both the "run" and "network" are set to run based on preferences. Thank you for the help, greatly appreciated. :)
Ok. When you open up Boinc
)
Ok.
When you open up Boinc Manager, go to the Projects tab, select the Einstein project... is there a "resume" button on the left? if there is, press it. The button doesn't tell the status of the project, it tells of the option it can do.
If not...
Then please tell what the setting for "Do work while computer is in use?" is under your preferences.
I don't know what happened,

I don't know what happened, but, everything just started working. "Einstein, seti, and climate prediction." Thank you for the help. I took the advice and changed some of the preferences and now it works. Thanks to everyone for the help. It is greatly appreciated. Once again, thank you very much. Be safe in the night and always.
