BOINC 4.25 consistently ignores my Einstein@Home preferences setting to not run while the computer is in use. Once E@H is running, it will not stop running if I start using my computer. Manual intervention works but takes a long time (minutes) to take effect.

BOINC Manager 4.25 Ignores Preferences

Did you update the project after you made changes to the preferences site?
Open Boinc manager, Project tab. Now, either rightclick on Einstein@Home and choose Update from the drop down menu, or leftclick on the Einstein@Home project and choose the Update button on the left.
That will send a message to the E@H scheduler and download your new settings. Check in the messages tab if it's acknowledging that it's now got new settings for your preferences and from that moment onwards it should follow the preferences.

Thanks for your post. Yes, each time I make changes, I run an update. The situation I'm concerned about may be the difference between test runs and production runs and between BOINC 4.19 and 4.25. Now, it may take much longer for a run to get suspended after user activity resumes. Or perhaps BOINC 4.25's display data is not updated as often as in version 4.19.
During the test phase, work was suspended quickly (a few seconds at most)and the status displayed by a right click on the BOINC Manager icon was whatever state one expected it to be. Now, it appears to take one minute or more.
One thing is for sure, if I leave for the evening with a setting of "Run based on preferences", the next morning the status may be "Run always".
