Hi,

Just wanted to let the community know that I've created a free AWS (amazon web services) AMI (amazon machine image) which contains the BOINC client, installed on a bare red hat linux base.  The AMI works fine using hardware that AWS makes available in its free tier.  You can find more information about it here:  https://aws.amazon.com/marketplace/pp/B07MHJWXT3?qid=1546555075599&sr=0-1&ref_=srh_res_product_title#pdp-pricing

Enjoy!

Are you saying that with your image people can run virtual machines for free and crunch too?

theoretically yes, but only

theoretically yes, but only if you use the micro instances (advise use t3.micro)

but, you have to pay for storage (less then 10cent/GB in a month) and I'm not sure about his image.

maybe I should dig a bit deeper in aws...

but creating your on image shpuld be quite simple. at least if you installed a pi with boinc...
