As per the title, the latest version of BOINC has been released. I would assume that it correct some of the problems encountered with 5.8.8.
I have just d/l & it seems to be working OK.

BOINC 5.8.11 Released

Have they finally fixed the bugs (still too low Linux Bench results, Duration Correction Factor error etc...) ?
RE: Have they finally fixed

DCF was fixed in 5.8.9 for Windows. I haven't checked whether they've put it back in 5.8.11, and I can't answer for Linux - sorry.
It looks like the Linux
)
It looks like the Linux benchmarks have been improved with BOINC 5.8.11. My 1.2 GHz Celeron (Suse 10.1) used to benchmark around 620 MFlops. It benchmarked at 1.2 GFlops with WinXP several BOINC versions ago before I converted it to Linux. With BOINC 5.8.11 the benchmark is 1.1 GFlops. My other Linux boxes have seen a similar increase in the benchmark.
Of course these values don't mean much for Einstein and a number of other projects that ignore the benchmark value. Still, it is nice to see for the projects that still use the benchmark as part of the credit system.
That sounds excellent, maybe

That sounds excellent, maybe time to switch from my ageing V5.2.13 to V5.8.11 then...
I'm seeing my DCF going back

I'm seeing my DCF going back to reality on my MacBook. At least that glitch is fixed in the Mac version.
