I have a large number of invalid results all from Binary Radio Pulsar Search (MeerKAT). Is there something wrong with the upload of that work or something wrong with the processing software?
I do not mind using my computer to do this but I do not like to waste the resources to process large files that come back as invalid and therefore rejected.
Any thoughts?

Hey man. There is already a very recent thread for that problem. Do you use amd gpu?

Robert,
See the "lots of BRP7 errors" thread in this Forum. Probably related to your situation. With incomplete statistics it seems that Linux (opencl) systems fail all M22 tasks with "computation error" while Windows (cuda55) are completing the tasks but fail to validate. Poke around in your account/tasks and see if task ID's starting with M22... are the only failures. If so, then the project administrators will "fix it" at the servers; nothing you need to, or can, do.
I notice that you have joined E@H recently. Welcome. It is entirely up to you, of course, but if you "un"-hide your computer in your account/preferences/privacy, i.e. ...show your computers... = YES, then others can see whether, for example, your system is Windows or Apple or Linux, and can examine, as you can, your task logs for abnormal conditions and can offer specific suggestions for your system rather than just "generic" ideas.

Thanks Gene,
Appreciate the welcome.
I am running Windows 10 Pro with the NVIDIA EVGA Gelforce 1080-ti GPU - (which when I bought it was the fastest GPU on the market),
Yes al of the failures are M22 tasks. All have this at the end of the file name ((BRP7-cuda55)).
Thanks for responding!
Do I need to reach out the project admin or will they eventually fix it as you stated (" If so, then the project administrators will "fix it" at the servers; nothing you need to, or can, do.")

First unhide your computers so we can see drivers and tasks without asking you to post them and delaying your help. Second how much onboard memory does the gpu have?

Thanks - I believe the GPU on board is 11 Gbytes which should be plenty.
I think I have turned on sharing of the information of the computer now - let me know if it is not visable.

Yes, your computer is now visible to us. And yes, your GPU does have enough memory..... but maybe not for what you are trying to download. Just for the GPU, you are trying to download:
Gamma-ray pulsar search #5Gravitational Wave search O3 All-SkyMulti-Directional Gravitational Wave search on O3 (CPU)Are you also running anything else on your GPU, like Milkyway, or Gridcoin, or anything else?
Should Einstein@Home show your computers on its website?: yes no

Not running anything else.
I did turn off the Binary Radio Pulsar Search (MeerKAT) downloads because they were coming back as invalid - which might have something to do with the next download trying to happen at the same time as the upload. I only accept work now and then turn off new tasks for download till the current work completely finishes.
And I do have the questions answered as Yes, at least now I do.
I didn't try to set any restrictions and let all the applications download initially and the MeerKAT apps ran fine initially but then had 35 invalids in a row.
So far nothing else has failed so happy with that.
Would you recommend I only run specific applications from the list of available?
Appreciate your assistance!

There are 3 basic ways of crunching...1)crunch everything and anything you can which I call the 'shotgun approach' and 2)focus on one type of task and run it until you reach your goal in it and then switch to another type of task and 3)get the max credits you can in the shortest amount of time which means finding the type of task that gives you the most credits and crunch it.
You should be able to go thru the different tasks you have already run to help you decide on the type of task for the #3 way of crunching.
Thanks. Not really trying to

Thanks. Not really trying to just maximize credits. Any advice on what to do with the invalids from the MeerKAT files?
