I've just added my new 2,8Ghz DELL computer to the BOINC proyect, and it's detected as a 2,66 Ghz. Is it a bad detection problem, or will be updated later?.
You should check and see how other programs detect your new computer's speed. Have you run a utility such as cpu-z at cpuid? What does it report your system as?
