Excuse me please, if it is not a good question, but could scientists and developers of Einstein@Home wrote a special article about science and programm side of Einstein@Home and send it to arxiv.org? Or this article already exist?

I bet he speaks English a lot better than you speak Russian!
While I was over in Singapore, I was taking a tour bus around the city. Early on the tour guide apologized for his accent. He stated the he was a tri-linguist and that his wife was a penta-linguist. The tour guide asked us if anyone knew what a tri-linguist was. Not realizing the trap one tourist responded "Somebody who speaks three languages". Then the tour guide asked if somebody knew what a penta-linguist was. Falling deeper into it a tourist responded, "A person that speaks five languages." The tour guide asked his final question, "And what do you call a person that speaks only one language?" A bunch of mumbling of mono-linguist under breath came from us. The guide looked at all of us and said, "You call that type of person ... An American!"

Cut the guy some slack, english is probably not their native language. I think everyone here knew what was being asked, and since this is a science board, not a learn-english-grammar board, why don't you find somewhere else to give your unsought english lessons?

I have to say these are by far the most annoying posts on the board. The guy isn't unintellible. His meaning is clear. So save the grammar lesson please. On a related note if anyone knows how to ignore certain users I'd love it if they explained the process. These 8th grade grammar lessons come across as haughty. They also detract from what is actually be discussed.

Amen! The idea here should be to make friends and communicate with a wide range of people. It is not to try to teach American style English views to others. When I look at lysdexia's postings they are almost all corrections of other's and strange use of hyphens where none is indicated in the dictionary and incorrect use of commas before conjunctions.
I would just ignore lysdexia’s comments. After all, even the corrections are wrong:
Example: neuby -> newby
Newby is just an Acronym, which should be in all caps for
“No Evil Will Befall You” and the intent of the message is "newbie"
I normally would just ignore such comments but I want our non-English people to know they are welcome.
Notice that lysdexia’s physics lacks more than our English:
“a force, and its energy” ?? Force of energy??
“Galileo really drop stuff” Stuff??
“complementary acceleration screw up this result” ??? Poor imprecise wording- “screw up”
“to lump time with space” ??
I hate to point out someone else point out other’s errors. I only want to make the point that we need to ignore other’s shortcomings and typo’s and try to keep things fun.
Half of all communications is trying to understand others – warts and all.

Go to your account page and edit your forum preferences. Just enter the UserID of those you wish to filter out. While you are there, investigate some other features to enhance your browsing pleasure. I use "Jump to first new post automatically" which keeps track of what I've already read and saves a lot of time. I also "Hide signatures" since, as a thread lengthens, a large amount of time (and bandwidth) is spent loading in all the excessive signatures and this one little change made an enormous difference in the time to warp to the new message.
I agree wholeheartedly with the sentiments expressed concerning the complete and utter arrogance shown and the total insult delivered by "correcting" the comments of non-english speaking posters. This is particularly so when you notice that the person doing the correcting simply does not seem to have anything positive or worthwhile to contribute.
However, I can ignore all that and simply move on. What I can't ignore is the fact that, quite often, these useless "corrections" are being applied to quite old threads, effectively bumping them to the top and cluttering my new messages as if there were new and relevant information. So I'm about to experiment to see if filtering a particular UserID is smart enough to prevent that thread from appearing to have "new" content if the only "new" content is actually the filtered message. I'm guessing it wont be smart enough so I'll probably have to make a trip to the wish list at some stage :).
Edit: One other point. Please make sure you exercise your democratic right and click on the little "minus" symbol of posts that offend you.
Cheers,
Gary.

This is well beside the point. If we were on a Russian website, then could you tell me this. The tour guide, BTW, mixed Latin and Greek forms! I don't call myself an American anyway, and the onetongued deal doesn't quite apply here. Everything I wrote was to help someone; I corrected him to help him. Someone like you who would let people slip and mistake, to carry on their lives multiplying their flawed beliefs, is awful.
>Cut the guy some slack
What is that supposed to mean? I take that you're of the greatest dole of mankind who doesn't give a damn what people say. I'm replying to what someone said here, so it doesn't take an offsite board for my comeback. These backlashes are unsought, and wrong.
>strange use of hyphens where none is indicated in the dictionary and incorrect use of commas before conjunctions
The dictionary is descriptive and not constructive; it does not list every allowable use. What incorrect use? Dennis, you are lying and making stuff up. There is no such acronym, and "newby" is right. There's nothing wrong with my fusica (right spelling of the Greek word before Latin and French corrupted it). If you are too senile to use your head to ken my posts, then don't try to make your shortcomings look like mine. You are a terrible role model; ignoring shortcomings is the main reason that the world is so screwed up. It must be stopped, or the world must. Then everything will be fun. Democracy, also, must be destroyed because the people are cretins, fools, and liars!
