Sorry I am not a native English speaker.

CPU: Intel i5-12600K (16 processors)

GPU0:Intel(R) UHD Graphics 770

GPU1: RTX 4070 super

RAM: 32G

Here is the thing:

Two Windows PCs which have the same setups, GPU1(4070 spuer) for F@H and CPU for E@H, but GPU0(UHD Graphics 770, iGPU in i5-12600k) have nothing to do.

I hear about E@H can work projects on the iGPU that in intel CPU before, but it doesn't seem to be the case. I only can get CPU-only tasks, FGRP5 in E@H, and I have tried to deselect FGRP5 in my Preferences-Project-Applications, and then servers didnt send me tasks any more til I selected "Allow non-preferred apps". I still get no tasks to get my iGPU uesd!

In fact, I still need FGRP5 to get my CPU used so deselect FGRP5 is not supposed even if it worked. Do I have any ways to get my iGPU used? It's a torment to see iGPU sitting idle.

BTW, CPU limit(Preferences-Computing-Use at most) in E@H does not work as the exmple, 75% means use 6 cores on an 8-core CPU. No. Actually, 75% means use 8 cores on an 8-core and 75% for every core. Thats bad! Because I will get slow, stuck ,or even worse, may have to restart system when I am doing other light works or light game which are heavy in one or two threads if I set it as 80% or higher. Is this a problem of my settings I dont know or it just the characteristic of FGRP5? Can it be only limited in some threads just like it only run in E-core before I turn E-core off?

Trying to use your Igpu at

Trying to use your Igpu at the same time as your cpu's won't work very well as they are both the same, Boinc is designed to use a stand alone gpu like your Nvidia 4070 Super gpu, which should work very well here!! Yes if you cut way back on your cpu crunching then your Igpu could be used but not to the same effect as your 4070! And in fact you will get better performance using your cpu's then trying to use the Igpu. On top of that using the Igpu can drastically increase the heat produced inside your pc causing problems.

You may want to unhide your computers.  So we can see what your system is doing.

I have heard there is problems trying to run BOINC with Intel cpus that have P cores and E cores.  The only "fix" that I know for sure works is to disable the E cores in the bios.  This feels clumsy, I hope there is better guidance out there.

The OS scheduler may have been updated to where this is no longer an issue.

The BoincMgr has a "percent of threads/cores" setting which should keep at least 2 threads free.  And a "percent of cpu used" which should be set for 100% (percent).

Hope This Helps.

OK I got it, very detailed

OK I got it, very detailed explanation! Thanks Mikey.

It seems that I have to give up the idea of using iGPU, and settle down to work on FGRP5 with my little CPUs.

My computers has be unhided

My computers have be unhided now. I thought the default settings is Visible.

No, sorry maybe my poor English skills make you misunderstood, that's no the point, Tom. I have deal with the problem of usage of E-cores.

My expectation of "Use at most: X% of the processors" in BOINC settings is, for examlpe, on 8-core CPU, 75% means "100%*6 and 0%*2", then I have 2 completely idle threads to use for other things. But now I get in FGRP5 is " 75% * 8". Since I have only used CPUs on FGRP5 in BOINC, and I am unable to get other tasks to test, I am not sure if it is common.

Change the number of "X% of the CPU time" just makes the graphics in Taskmgr of my PC look like, I dont know how to say it in English, many thorn on it, not some complete 100% and 0%. This is not what I suppose either.

No the EU says the default must be 'hidden' so since Einstein has people everywhere they chose to follow the EU standards instead of get fined every time someone in the EU signed up.

Your pc's are NOT unhidden yet, go to this page https://einsteinathome.org/account/prefs/privacy and the 2nd question should be set to YES and then be sure to click 'save changes' at the bottom of the page. It might take a day or more for the setting to be changed.

Sorry ,my bad. Maybe I forgot to click the save button yesterday. I am sure that it is "unhidden" now.

You are correct they DO show up now. One thing it doesn't show though is any of your stand alone graphics cards, that means either you haven't loaded the brand specific drivers and are using the Windows ones or you don't have any stand alone graphics cards. IF you DO have any stand alone graphics cards, stand alone being not the one on the cpu, then grab the latest AMD or Nvidia drivers from their website and load them and your graphics cards should show up and will hopefully be able to be used for crunching too.
