      My guess would be not for Einstein@home. But there are lots of other distributed computing projects around the world that are not based on BOINC.

      I feel that BOINC has the brightest future for average home users.

        Totally agree. Boinc is the biz. No problems load sharing several projects on one machine and if one project is down, any others attached take the strain so you get 24/7 crunching. It's taking a while to mature but thumbsup to the boinc team imo.
