I had a problem with my BOINC folder which has resulted in BOINC not recognising that it has downloaded and completed a lot of work for this project.

As a result, all the files are sitting on my hardrive and not being uplaoded/reported. Is there any way to manually return these? Or to force BOINC to recognise that the data is still there?

Any Project Admins??

If the BOINC on your system has no record of what it downloaded, but it still is the same system as the one that the project recognizes (same hostID), you can force a call home (do an Update on the project) and the work should be sent to you again. The problem here is though that any work you finished already will have to be started from the beginning.

If your computer has gotten a new hostID, you're better off resetting the project and downloading all new work.

Not necessarily. The GW (S6LV1, S6BucketLVE) and FGRP apps should just exit cleanly when these find the result file is already present in the project folder.

Might be worth a try - suspend computation, update the project to hopefully get the tasks resent, suspend all the tasks you got resent individually, look into the project folder for result files that match the name of the tasks, pick one such task (h1...S6BucketLVE... or h1_...S6LV1... for GW, LATeah... for FGRP), resume that task, resume computation and see how this goes. Ideally the task should just run for a few seconds, then the client should upload the file and ultimately report the result.

If this worked with one, resume the rest of the tasks.

I tried doing an update

I tried doing an update (thanks for the suggestion) but the first response was 'new id created' so it didn't link to the existing work.

I'm going to try merging the ID's and then updating again...
