For Newegg check the shuffle around noon eastern each day. They're giving an hour or two wide window to enter a drawing for the right to buy a GPU (or a few other highly in demand components) as a way to try fighting scalpers bots. Unfortunately the items are often bundled with a second undesirable item.
I can't believe I'm still trying to get my hands on 6800-anything. I've ramped up my stalking of newegg and still not even close to getting one, even going above the budget.

AMD is now selling direct to the public. Try amd.com and buy direct. They should even be at MSRP.
I just ordered an rx 6700 xt for $779.32 at shopblt.com who has a strong policy against price extreme price increases. They also don't always have these cards listed on their website.
It looks like they also have rx 6800 and rx 6900 listed. The pricing looks to be at or near MSRP.
Search radeon and keep paging for additional 25 results.

Good tips all. I was checking AMD.com for a while, but gave up, eventually since I never saw them in stock. I'll try to to add that to my check. I hadn't heard about shopbit.com, before. It's all pre-order, ATM, but that's better than anywhere else.
Short of writing my own bot, I'm at a disadvantage. I actually looked into it, but I couldn't see a way to script it with HTML analysis only. It's not the good old days, anymore; you need to be able to interact with cookies and JavaScript just to get started.
An rx 6700 xt sold for $817 as part of an auction on eBay.

There are now 3 Rx 6800 gpus (with or without xt) in the top 50 list.

I have a RX6700XT on the way so I'm going to find out quick enough. I'm just going to plug it in and see what BIONC/Einstein@Home does with it. I have to believe that if driver support is an issue it won't be for long because the RDNA2 architecture is going to be a fixture in the computing/gaming industry for a long time to come being the graphics engine used in both the PS5 and XBox One.
So are there any special steps I need to take to enable support for Radeon in BOiNC?
As of June 18th the RX6700XT cards are no longer Newegg Shuffle items and are in stock. They are expensive averaging $970 to $1200 right now but that's just the way of things now as the manufacturers have raised their MSRP's to take the scalpers out of the game. There's a number of good RX6700XT models in the $1000 to $1050 range.
Maybe I should sell all my Rx 5700's (5-6) and get two Rx 6800 xt's and be done with it? Still might end up with a 4 million RAC system and less trouble.

I noticed that on NewEgg. Not happy though. Those are all after-market versions, which are nice, but they were always going to be priced at a premium. I just want the "reference" card. MSRP was a pretty steep, I thought, but, in the current market, it would be a steal.
(OT) fixed my thermal problem with the 5700XT: default fan profile wasn't using the fan enough, but manual override is working well.
Now that that's fixed, I'm actually interested in getting another 5700XT. If the market weren't out of control, that might be a cost effective investment, but I found 5700XTs going for approximately the same as 6800s. Radeon VII is still amazing, too; which makes it hard to be totally satisfied with any of the options available. The market sucks right now. Who knows how well AMD would be doing if the Great Chip Shortage of 2020 hadn't happened.
