Why not take a credit system like in curt of justice ("Innocent Until Proven Guilty").
So why not granting the credit immediately after uploading a result. And - if it could not be approved - subtract it from the user.

Your credit would be constantlt bouncing up & down. Due to differences in processors, the granted credit for a given work unit can vary. Once a quorum is reached for a work unit the validator assigns everyone who crunched that work unit the same credit it calculated as kind of "the middle ground". In other words once you submitted a completed work unit you would be assigned a certain number of points. Then once the quorum is complete you would then be adjusted to a new number of points.

So what? Better than receiving no credit (for days/weeks) at all!
Look at the postings here. Many people are disappointed because of not getting credits - and might detach from the project.
If you want instant credit
)
If you want instant credit for each timestep you make, you attach to the Climate Predicition project. Because those units are so big, they run for several months, so it would be impossible to double check if the credit claimed is correct.
On a project like this all you need is patience. If you're not doing it for the science or for making BOINC better, but for the credits only, there's almost no project in the BOINC society that will be pleasing to you. But for CPDN, but there people will complain that it takes so fricking long. ;)
FritTheCat, I think this

FritTheCat,
I think this is a good idea. Unfortunately the current BOINC infrastructure is just not set up that way. So I can't just make a few minor modifications to the code to do what you suggest. Oh well.

The worst part about a system
)
The worst part about a system like that would be the RAC would become meaningless. The adjustment latter would not be reflected in the RAC or it would cause the RAC to do wild things (like go negative from time to time).
