I may not be "official", but I did get an answer from Bruce Allen:

Thanks a lot for pointing this out. It appears that for about 8 hours our validator was marking all results as 'validate error'. I don't know why this happened: restarting the validator seems to have fixed this.
I'm going to write a script to grant credit to all the results which got marked as validate errors in this time interval.
Cheers,
Bruce
You can make that official. I just spoke with Bruce about the validator problem and he is going to try to grant credit to the "invalid" results later today if possible. We still do not understand what went wrong with the validator.

Just for the record : r1_0267 has a bunch of "no consensus yet" problems too
Better than just granting the credits would probably be to reset the state so it will run through the validator a second time (?)
Yes i would sign that too.
All WUs marked as invalid should be sent through the validator a second time.
My RAC was cut by 50 (but i know persons that lost >200) and my pendings where cut by 500.

The problem is that the results have already been deleted.

Very nice, thanks!
As an aside, just went through my "results" and
found 75 WUs afflicted with this syndrome.
Thanks David and Bruce for fixing the validation problem,
and for making an attempt to grant the lost credit.

In case anyone hasn't looked there, there's an announcement on the homepage about the validator problem, including a statement that lost credit will be manually restored once canonical results are available for each WU.
