Based on the results of a single rtx 3080 ti's RAC it seems reasonable to guess that 2 rtx 3080 ti's should be able to double that singleton RAC?
So why are we not seeing more 2 GPU systems crowding 7M RAC?

Because they want to try and catch me in the single one-horse-race at E@H ?
I am talking about already existing two rtx 3080 ti systems. They "should" be pushing 7M RAC if we scale up your single rtx 3080 ti results. They are not. Why not?

How many tasks are you running at one time on your 3080Tis? If multiple tasks that could be why.

lack of Linux (can't run Petri's app on Windows) is probably the biggest reason. a lot of people just can't or won't move off Windows.
then there's people that just want to set-it-and-forget-it and aren't interested in tweaking things to run custom apps. they only want to run whatever the project sends
then there's people who split time with other projects and aren't crunching any one project 100%.
then there's people who would otherwise optimize and tweak, but they don't read the forums to be aware of them.
Well, maybe my 2 GPU box can crowd 7M. If I can, that should give George something to shoot at/for.
And it might even temporarily put me in 3rd or 4th place till George or someone else gets there.

How well does your rtx 3080 process e@h GPU tasks?
How well does your gtx 1080 ti process e@h GPU tasks?
I know I like the rtx 3080 ti very well but I am also looking at budgetary constraints.
Are either worth the bang for the buck?

Linux isn't user friendly enough for someone like me who's grown up with Windows. Windows just works (kinda)
I know next to nothing about pc's when it comes to scripts, cmd functions etc etc. Even having to work out and google "sudo apt xxx" was a pain. ( I have to use a VM just to crunch Universe@Home etc)
It's a shame that some projects run much better on Linux than Windows, but that's the way it goes.
As for scaling, I think it could just be a dodgy GPU but my 2 Radeon VII's in the same case don't scale. One card takes much longer than the other. I'm unsure if that's the card, cpu, PCI lanes? I dunno.
I'm not losing sleep over it.
Wondering how the NVIDIA 4xxx series goes.
Too expensive though GPU prices. I'm not adding to the manufacturers greed.

I can't say for sure what others are running, but I'm running x2 tasks with my 3080Ti.

I can only help with the 1080Ti:
I do not have a 3080 and my 3060, not a Ti, is doing gpugrid tasks right now. I run one task at a time.
