I imagine the most likely place from where you accessed the server status page would be the place you wanted to return to. If so, just go back to there after you finish.
If you really do want the 'Home' page (just to get the full menu for example) doesn't going 'back' get you to a page that has the full menu anyway?
If going 'back' doesn't do what you want, maybe just open the server status in a new tab instead of overwriting your existing page and throw it away when you finish with it. Would that work for you?
I actually agree, it's kind of annoying that the Server Status and the Applications pages are dead end pages.
I agree as a former webpage creator that always irritates me, WHY should I have to click back to get to the home page? Or in this case the Applications page as well.
