Topic 205295

Hello all!

I try to use 3 GPU in on of my Systems, but i see only 1 GPU working.

How can i config that all begin to work?

I´ve already read something about a config data but i can´t find the file where this config is been safed.

My cards are not equal, it is 2 times an ATI GPU and 1 Intel...

Greetings

I hope this

https://boinc.berkeley.edu/wiki/Client_configuration

"The configuration is read from a file cc_config.xml. If this file is absent, the default configuration is used. To create or edit the file, use a text editor such as Notepad, and save it as cc_config.xml in your BOINC Data directory."

<use_all_gpus>0|1</use_all_gpus>

If 1, use all GPUs (otherwise only the most capable ones are used). Requires a client restart.

I hope that helps. So if cc_config.xml is not in your BOINC Data Folder, then you will need to create that file.

Thx a lot!    Additional,

Thx a lot!

Additional, do you know if there is a hugh different bei using SLI or Crossfire wenn Bionic is running?

Because the second system has SLI and it seems to be the system doesn´t need this configuration file.

Is this right?

I found this kind of

I found this kind of information:

https://einsteinathome.org/content/boinc-and-dual-gpus

So the best situation would be when BOINC can see every GPU as individual. If BOINC doesn't recognize them automatically as individual two cards while they are connected in SLI you could disable SLI from the Nvidia's options. Or if you don't need SLI for something else, you could just disconnect SLI ribbon cable.

Now it worked fine with the

Now it worked fine with the both AMD Cards.

But i ve seen a lot of PC´s working additional with an Intel GPU.

Should it worked in the same way when the Intel is activated and installed?

Does BOINC recognize your

Does BOINC recognize your Intel GPU at the moment? Can you see it in the BOINC log?

If you see Intel GPU there, but scheduler just doesn't send it any tasks, then it might be there isn't any tasks to send. All current work for Intel GPU is possibly cancelled:

https://einsteinathome.org/content/intel-gpu-validation-errors#comment-155180

edit: In this post ... https://einsteinathome.org/content/intel-gpu#comment-152525 ... Holmis said "There has been problems with tasks not validating for newer Intel GPUs and newer driver versions."

So, it might be challenging to get Intel GPU to work succesfully, if there are tasks available. It seem to have been quite dependent on the chip and driver.

Make sure the BOINC is in

Make sure the BOINC is in advance mode. THen from the pulldown tabs click on tools, and select event log.

This will display the log of activity. This will remain open until you click the red X.

Quit BOINC, don't close the windows, just quit then wait 2 minutes and relaunch it.

When you do both BOINC manager and the event log will appear. You want to copy and paste the first 30 or so lines that appear in the event log here so we can review what it says about your system

I just think that the GPU

I just think that the GPU from the Intel CPU works faster as the threat handled by the cpu.
