Einstein@Home public event July 2, 2011

May 06, 2011

Dear All,

as the preferred day of the week for the E@H public event at AEI Hannover turned out to be Saturday, we have now scheduled it for the 2nd July, 2011.
There will be a couple of interesting talks and guided laboratory tours at AEI in the afternoon and an informal get-together in the evening.
A more detailed program will be available shortly.

Cheers,

Felicitas/Bernd

LIGO-Australia

April 12, 2011

A proposal has just been put forward to build one of the Advanced LIGO detectors in Western Australia. Locating one of these detectors in Australia would have a tremendous scientific impact: it would enable more detections and improve our ability to identify exactly where gravitational-wave signals are coming from. For more information, or to ask questions or post comments, please see this Science Message Board note from Stan Whitcomb, the Director of LIGO-Australia.
