Ok Bikeman, have done it. Before stopping BOINC I saved all the messages in case they are needed. No Google gadget NEW installed, the searchbar in Firefox had been there from beginning. Recently installed a dl manager, but also stopping this one didn't do the trick. Forgot to abort the App dl before stopping, here what BOINC sayed after restart:
23.08.2007 13:05:52||[error] No URL for file transfer of einstein_S5R2_4.33_windows_intelx86.exe
23.08.2007 13:05:52|Einstein@Home|[error] Can't initialize file transfer for einstein_S5R2_4.33_windows_intelx86.exe
Aborted dl. Just checked the messages and found this:
23.08.2007 13:05:52||[error] No URL for file transfer of einstein_S5R2_4.33_windows_intelx86.exe
23.08.2007 13:05:52|Einstein@Home|[error] Can't initialize file transfer for einstein_S5R2_4.33_windows_intelx86.exe
So, for me it's solved. What I did:
-Stop BOINC
-deleted app_info & app
-restarted
-no dl happening
-followed your advice and make manual dl, then copy/paste to Einstein directory
-stopping/restarting BOINC
-aborting still existing dl in "Transfer" tab
After that, the problem solved itself.......so, maybe the best is, on stacking transfers to abort them first and wait for BOINc to try again from beginning? Hope somebody can do something with all this, that it's not only taking up space on the server.
