I must confess that I'm new to the project and new to the forums so not overly sure on how it all hangs together so to speak, impressed with the prompt/friendly replies to my 2 posts so far ..
any how ... credit .. I think this example sums it up for me .. its on my Mac Pro but doubt Mac is a factor and yes I'm not into any power apps , just let the BOINC client download what it wants/needs ...

Yup, pending is the go. Your work unit is sent out to others also ( I can't examine that as your computers are hidden ) - and when all return there is a comparison between members of such a 'quorum'. All being well credit will be granted. Ignore claimed credit, as while it's emitted from the BOINC client software on your machine, for this project it's irrelevant ( the 65.75 ). Credit is awarded by the project server and not any software on your computer. In days of yore there were ( still are ) 'optimised' BOINC clients that, shall we say kindly, are/were written ( and not necessarily in any official sense ) to be 'generous'.

I'm not as worried about the adjustment of the credits as I am the length of time its now taking to process them. On this machine it used to be 6 1/2 to 7 hrs and granted credit was 237+. Now its taking 13+ hours and 177 to 180 granted credits.
I realize the power apps had nothing to do with how much credit you recieved and the lost here is in processing time.I gained about 45% more time and therefore I could process more work in a days time, where I was doing 7 or 8 a day it looks like its going to be 3 or 4 now. That's a major hit on work being done, Hopefully we'll get anothr power app for windows that can give us our time back.

But I'm afraid that maybe the total time needed might be a bit off. As far as I can see there is more work in S5R4: bigger parameter space, longer observation time. I would not be surprises to see 250 days based on the current "host workforce" and app performance. ATLAS could make a difference, of course. So I don't really trust the 170 days estimate yet.

14645.39 [4 hours] gave 237.42pts = 59 points per hour
now
new WUs granted credit
22632.54 [6.3 hours] gave 192.24pts = 30.51 points per hour
maths never my strong point but that ='s a 50% reduction

Currently: ZW$1.2 trillion is worth the same as one British pound.
Therefore – according to my plan - each of my completed work units, would generate
1.2 trillion in credit.!
Seriously – I do not care if Einstein@home credits have parity with other projects.
