As I mentioned before in another post, we're not even supposed to reach 80॰F until the end of May, meaning "no A/C" 'til June!! Tom, you can keep your warm - er - hot weather!

My temps were in the low 80's outside during today and most of the upcoming week as well, but it's still in the low 60's until mid morning so I'm opening the doors to cool off the house and my pc room as much as possible before I have to close it up. My allergies are really bad this year too so I'm suffering a bit when I go to the gym in the mornings, it's hard to breathe when everything is stuffy!! BUT the dry sauna makes them feel better so 30 minutes or so in there helps alot!
I have never had any allergies that I know of until this year. I keep needing to blow my nose, and sometimes my eyes tear up a bit making people think I'm crying. I need to almost constantly tell them it's allergies, and never having to do that before it's definitely weird.
Well, so much for AccuWeather's long range forecast. At high noon today it is 79॰ F, and the forecast for TODAY is 89॰ F! The long range forecasters need to get their act together.
The generic flonase (OTC nose spray) and loratadine (generic Claraitin) (OTC 24 hour pills) have lowered the amount of misery I feel over the years.

I know I'm in the 'old man' stage of my life, though I don't always feel old - just sometimes. But it disturbs me that for nearly 70 years (I'm 69 now) I never had an allergy nor been allergic to anything, and now this!
Yes, I usually don't look more than two or three days ahead for a reasonably accurate weather forecast. I think of the long range forecast as a modern day Farmers Almanac. I often think if I were a weatherman, I cold be wrong 50% of the time and STILL keep my job!

My local guy is doing a "3 degree guarantee" every day now meaning where he is the temp will be within 3 degrees of what he says it will be for the highs of the day. He's right about 90% of the time with his "3 degree" range but he's wrong over 90% of the time on getting within one degree. Some local business donates $20 every day he's right to some local non-profit charity or other, he uses the same business per month and the charity changes every month as well. He uses the local 'big city' airport of Wilmington, North Carolina which is pretty small compared to what most people think of as a 'big city'. The airport is inland from the coast so gets several degrees, sometimes more, warmer than I get on the coast, cooler too during the cooler times.
