The client contacted the server and reported the results. The server received the results, but the client couldn't read the response from the server because of the problem that I fixed. So the client kept the results as not yet reported. On the next scheduler contact the client reported them again, and the server replied that it already got those reported.

Everything's fine, nothing to worry about.

Thanks to all those who reported the problem! It definitely helps when deciding whether a problem is maybe limited to certain versions of BOINc or operating systems etc or whether it's a server side problem.

Sorry to bring up this

Sorry to bring up this 10-year-old issue, but I've just been hit by it, something I've never seen before. It looks like the same problem - no terminating character for a string buffer in the response:

Not sure if it's publicly accessible but the server contact log is at https://einsteinathome.org/host/12803029/log.

Unfortunately I'll be away from home for the next 11 hours or so, but I understand this is a server-side issue and a project reset won't necessarily resolve the issue. Only one machine is affected thus far. I am in Sydney, Australia.

Thanks very much for the report.  Talk about a blast from the past!

I've drawn Bernd's attention to what you posted.  Hopefully he will check it out as soon as he can.  That might not be until Monday in Hannover.  In the meantime, we'll see if there are other similar reports.  Haven't noticed anything yet.

Cheers,
Gary.

I also sent a message to Bernd before I left, recognising at the time I sent it Germany would have still been asleep. Nonetheless, the issue seems to have been resolved at around 02:00 UTC. Or rather the symptoms have gone, but maybe it's still worthwhile checking the server code to see if something is amiss?
